
At Confluence, bold ideas come to life through collaboration and meticulous production. "California Calling" was an ambitious project created in partnership with Specialized , featuring an exceptional team of american creatives, from SF bay erea.
Filmed in the heart of San Francisco and at Specialized’s headquarters in Morgan Hill, California, this production combined immersive storytelling with technical precision. From dynamic street shots to storytelling, every frame was designed to celebrate the partnership between Specialized and FDJ-SUEZ while capturing the spirit of innovation and performance that unites them. Morehover, film director Mathieu Marillier want absolutely to tell this story with Mike Sinyard, the brand creator, to push forward the puissance of the video.
With the launch of three teasers, we aimed to captivate the audience through atmospheric capsules infused with Californian energy.




Directed by Mathieu Marillier and Marius Brosse, and produced by, the film features appearances by Mike Sinyard, Demi Vollering, Juliette Labous, Evita Muzic, Vittoria Guazzini, and Elise Chabbey. Behind the lens, the cinematography was crafted by Nick Dolph and Mathieu Marillier, with Loveable Menace serving as first assistant camera. Andy Haney led the lighting team as gaffer, while Michael Clifford (Elmaudio) captured sound on set. The final mix was delivered by Djahmal, and the film’s original score was composed by Teaz Music. Etienne Schoeman and Nate Cox documented the production through behind-the-scenes visuals and stills.
